CHAMBER OF COMMERCE EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

The role of Executive Assistant for the Valleyview & District Chamber of Commerce is a key representative and advocate for the
business owners and employers in Valleyview and local area. This position requires someone capable of recruiting membership, handling email, invoicing, planing, organizing and overseeing a range of services and
events for members. Community events such as Frosty Friday, Small Business Awards, Moonlight Madness, Main St. Fair and parades will be a collaborative effort between the board and the Executive Assistant.
You would oversee the maintenance of our website and social media portals that features local business news and a membership directory that is available to the public and potential new customers and Executive Assistant.

Duties would also include helping to identify and address common needs among local small business owners through recommendation, overseeing the arrangement of lectures, member prospecting, workshop coordination, and
training seminars on different management issues. The executive assistant would also be required to attend monthly Chamber meetings and help with the preparation and distribution of meeting minutes
and agendas.

Candidates would be required to work a minimum of 5 to 8 hours per week with additional hours to be approved by the Chamber as required to complete events.
