Chamber Scholarship Update

It's important for small communities to celebrate the dreams and successes of our students because they are the future and our best investments. With that in mind the Valleyview and District Chamber of Commerce saw an opportunity to support youth and our community. Every year, the Chamber Of Commerce gives a scholarship of $1000.00 to one of our town's talented graduating high school students.

Last year, Cali-Jaye Rholoff, a Hillside High School graduate, received this scholarship. Her commitment, and participation in High School Rodeo as well as her volunteerism made her an ideal candidate for the Chamber Scholarship. She has been attending the MC College in Red Deer, working hard in the hairstylist program. Cali has been excelling in the program and has been taking clients at the schools salon. She has been enjoying the program and will be taking clients at Urban Valley Salon when she comes back for holidays and breaks.

"Cali-Jaye has always been keen to learn and evolve her craft and I can't wait to see what she brings back from her time at MC College. I know Cali has some clients eager to see her back behind the chair as well."

To be eligible for this opportunity, the student must be enrolling in a secondary program that supports business, community or entrepreneurship. They must also show interest community leadership and volunteerism. To learn more or to apply please scroll to our scholarship information under the services tab.

  1. That’s really wonderful. I didn’t know the chamber did that. Cali must be very happy to have won to get her career on the go.
